Kitzbühel ski resort
Skiing in Kitzbühel is an absolute dream! With its perfectly prepared pistes, state-of-the art lift system and 230 kilometres of downhill slopes, the resort is sure to put a smile on the face of every ski fan. Alongside the world-famous Streif downhill ski race course on the Hahnenkamm mountain, the area is also home to a total of 57 ski lifts offering fun on the slopes for both beginners and more advanced skiers. You can also treat your taste buds to culinary delights surrounded by stunning panoramic mountain views at one of the area’s 60 huts and mountain restaurants, each of which is unique in its own special way.
As the first skiers on the mountain, we were rewarded for our early start with a truly stunning view of the sunrise over the peaks! After buckling up our skis, we headed out onto what felt like a carpet of pristine powder snow. It seemed as though we had the whole piste to ourselves as we carved our way across the untouched slopes.
We then made our way to the wonderful new Jufen lift, settling into the soft, warm seats as we made the short journey to the summit. And when we reached the top, it was bathed in glorious sunshine!
I was thrilled to return to the “Kasereck” and the “Silberstube”, which are two of my favourite slopes. With precious few skiers around apart from us, we decided to save our morning coffee break for later – and get down to some serious skiing!
